Erik Lidbom is born and rasied on the swedish countryside, where he soon became interested in music and rythms. As a young boy he set up his drumset in one of the barns at the farm. After learning to play the drums Lidbom on his own soon became a dedicated piano player and guitarist, instruments he perfected in a broad variety music schools, including 2 years studying the basics of classical music. But it was as a songwriter he found that his talents met up and his broad capabilites rendered him the reputation as a skilled, dedicated and versatile songwriter and producer.
Lidbom is now based in Stockholm, and has become one of the most popular songwriters in Japan, with five 1:s on the japanese charts, including on his resume the top selling singel in Japan 2008: Smile (Arashi), which sold in 618 000 copies. In Europe Lidbom is a requested producer and songwriter, working for everyone from german acts like Masterplan to italian superstar Paolo Meneguzzi, who's two latest albums are produced by Lidbom, including Meneguzzis contribution Era Stupendo to the Eurovision Song Contest 2007 and Grande & Musica competing in the famous San Remo Festival.
Erik Lidboms write and produce in many styles, but his work always bear a distinct mark of his love of music and a scandinavian, relentless commitment to his work. Combined with his noted talent for songwriting and production his devotion has made him on of the most prolific talents of his generation.
